What to Expect on Your First ATV Tour in Pattaya
Your First ATV Tour: No Experience Required
The number one question we get from first-timers is: "I've never ridden an ATV before — will I be okay?" The answer is a resounding yes. Our CFMoto ATVs are fully automatic, incredibly stable on four wheels, and designed to be mastered in minutes. If you can ride a bicycle, you can ride one of ours.
Here's a step-by-step look at what your day actually looks like, from the moment we pick you up to the moment we drop you back at your hotel.
Step 1: Free Hotel Pickup From Pattaya
We collect you from your Pattaya hotel in our air-conditioned minibus. The drive to our facility near Lake Maprachan takes around 20–25 minutes — a scenic run east of the city through local villages and countryside. It's a great chance to chat with your guide and get excited.
Pickup times vary by tour session, so check your confirmation for the exact time. We recommend being ready 5 minutes early — we run on a schedule and it's a long walk back!
Step 2: Arrival at the ATV Base
When you arrive you'll be struck by how well set up the facility is. We have a 10,000 m² base at the resort with workshop bays, secure lockers, changing rooms, showers, and a dedicated practice track where you'll get your first taste of the machines before we hit the real trails.
You'll be kitted out with your safety gear:
- Full-face helmet
- Goggles
- Gloves
- Dust mask
- ATV Adventures MX jersey
If you want to capture the ride on film, this is the time to ask about our GoPro rental (1,000 THB) — it's the best 1,000 baht you'll spend all holiday.
Step 3: Safety Briefing and Practice Track
Before anyone goes near a real trail, every rider — beginner or experienced — goes through our full safety briefing. Our English-speaking guides walk you through the controls, how to handle inclines, what to do at water crossings, and how to signal if you need help.
Then it's out to the practice track. You'll do a few laps to get comfortable with acceleration, braking, and turning. By the time you're done, you'll wonder why you were ever nervous.
Step 4: Hit the Trails
This is the part everyone comes for. Your guide leads you in a small group through some of the most spectacular off-road terrain in Eastern Thailand — jungle paths, open hillside climbs, river crossings, rubber plantations, and viewpoints looking out across the countryside. The landscapes are genuinely breathtaking.
On the Explorer Tour (28km) the pace is relaxed and fun — all about the scenery and experience. On the Adventure Tour (32km) the terrain gets more technical with steeper climbs and deeper crossings. Your guide will assess your comfort level and adjust the pace accordingly.
"I was convinced I'd be terrible at it. Within ten minutes I was grinning like an idiot through a river crossing. Absolutely incredible day." — Sarah, UK
Step 5: Post-Ride Meal at the Lakeside
Every tour finishes with a well-earned meal at our lakeside Sala Garden restaurant — a Deluxe Burger, fries, salad, fresh fruit, and soft drinks, all included in the tour price. You'll be seated overlooking the lake, reliving the highlights with your group. It's the perfect way to wind down.
What to Wear and Bring
Keep it simple:
- Clothing you don't mind getting dirty (you will get muddy)
- Closed shoes or trainers — no flip-flops or sandals
- Sunscreen
- A change of clothes (we have showers and lockers on-site)
That's genuinely it. We handle everything else.
